Thrifty Finds from the Weekend

vintage marble brass table whiskey jarI’ve been keeping an eye out for a glass decanter to try this DIY from Miss Kris for Darling Magazine and this one was only $3. Still trying to find the cork lighting kit here in Australia though (different plug and voltage).  Anyone know of a supplier?

The marble and brass vintage table ($25) was tarnished and after considering keeping the ‘vintage look’, I ended up polishing it – with tomato sauce. Yes, it works! It removed cheap accutane online most of the grime on the brass and then it was buffed with Brasso for a super shiny finish.

The top had nuts glued to it and the seal had perished, but soaking in hot soapy water cleaned it up. Perfect for short stems sans lid too and it was just $1.50. Roses courtesy of the garden!
